What is British Day?

Comments like, "It's amazing that British people are raising money for Hamburg charities" coming from a German and "I never thought I would hear Germans singing Land of Hope and Glory" coming from an Englishman, make us proud of our event' says Peter Rogers, Chairman of BCCG British Day eV.

British Day is an event organised by the British Chamber of Commerce in Hamburg and is run by BCCG British Day e.V. - a not-for-profit organisation. Over the years, BCCG British Day e.V. has raised nearly € 350.000 for local charities, and we are grateful to all our visitors who have helped make this possible. The chosen recipients for British Day's annual donations are institutions in and around Hamburg who work to improve the lives of underprivileged children - be they disabled or socially-disadvantaged. The charities are chosen each year by the British Day participants and friends

Cheques from the proceeds of British Day are handed over to the chosen charities in November at the Anglo German Club - a party held to thank the sponsors, participating companies and friends of British Day.

Join us and enjoy the special togetherness of Hamburgers and Brits at British Day. You will also be helping needy Hamburg charities to care for less fortunate children. Visit the British Isles in Klein Flottbek for a truly unique event.
