The Best of British
'Cult status', 'Quintessential Britain in the heart of Hamburg' and 'Zwanglose Atmosphere' are just some of the media headlines describing what has become a 'must' on Hamburg's social calendar - British Day.
British Day is a fun-filled Fest for all the family celebrating the best of British culture, food, music and entertainment as well as providing an insight into the whacky world of British eccentrism! Only the British could have a competition about throwing a rubber boot or tossing tree trunks!
Over this two day charity raising event, 05./06. September 2009, wanging a welly, tossing the caber, Jack Russell races and the Scottish Highland Games are just some of the fun events that can be experienced. There are events to take part in, those to watch, and plenty of food, beer and Pimm's to sample along the way. The highlight of the weekend is the British Day Open Air Proms Concert, where flag-waving, picnicking under the stars and wonderful classical music provide an electric atmosphere not to be missed.
So, come along and join in the fun!
